Tranmere Rovers have confirmed the signing of striker Kane Hemmings for an undisclosed fee from Burton Albion.
Hemmings joins after struggling to nail down a starting spot at the Pirelli Stadium this season with just ten starts and four goals in League One.
He has, however, had some excellent scoring seasons in both League One and League Two, as well as in the Scottish Premiership and Championship.
Tranmere have been excellent this season, primarily defensively, though, with some limited attacking play.
For example, they have managed to score just 25 goals in 24 games this season only seven teams have scored fewer goals. They have conceded 15 in 24, that, though, is comfortably the best defensive record.
Given that their means of securing points and results this season could be unsustainable due to the lack of goals, Hemmings addition could prove crucial for Rovers in their push for automatic promotion.
