It was another great week of EFL action and Playmaker gives you the lowdown of the important action in the Championship, League One, and League Two.
Championship
Mitrovic-less Fulham extended their lead at the top of the Championship to eight points with a 3-2 away to Stoke City. D’Margio Wright-Phillips got his first career goal after just a minute gone to put the home side ahead. That lead only a matter of seconds through a great hit by Rodrigo Muniz. Fábio Carvalho then put the Cottagers ahead before new signing Lewis Baker got his first goal for the Potters to equalise – it was another great hit. Marco Silva’s team got the winner in the 72nd minute through Bobby Reid’s excellently taken strike. Fans were treated to some truly superb goals at the Bet365 Stadium.
In the promotion places, Queens Park Rangers defeated Coventry City 2-1 away from home. The Sky Blues were without Matt Godden for the game after the striker had to undergo an emergency appendix operation. Albert Adomah got the winner for QPR in the 87th minute.
Middlesbrough didn’t play – they’ll be facing Blackburn Rovers on Monday – so they have temporarily lost sixth place to Huddersfield town who provided the most entertaining game of the afternoon.
The Terriers won 4-3 away to troubled Reading with Danny Ward getting a hat-trick – Huddersfield's first since Danny Ward scored a hat-trick over seven years ago.

League One
Wigan Athletic are now top, level on points with Sunderland but with four games in hand. Gillingham gave Leam Richardson’s side a tough test at the DW Stadium though with a Will Keane brace ultimately proving the difference in a 3-2 win.
The Black Cats won 1-0 at home to Portsmouth through Elliot Embleton’s 40th-minute goal while Rotherham United also won 1-0 at home to Cheltenham Town through Michael Smith.
MK Dons drift slightly further away from the top four after they were shocked at home to Doncaster Rovers. Joe Dodoo scored the only goal of the game proving that perhaps Doncaster aren’t as dead as the dodo in League One. Oxford United are now level on points with the Dons after they won 3-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

League Two
The top two made no mistakes in their games. Forest Green Rovers won comfortably at home to Carlisle United with Matty Stevens and Jamille Matt both on the scoresheet yet again. Meanwhile, Tranmere Rovers kept their customary clean sheet in their 1-0 win away to Crawley Town with Jay Spearing scoring the only goal of the game.
Newport County moved ahead of Swindon Town following the Exiles’ 1-0 win with Courtney Baker-Richardson getting the only goal of the game away to Scunthorpe United. Swindon Town couldn’t get the better of Bristol Rovers at the County Town, only managing a 1-1 draw.
Further down the table Harrogate Town finally ended their run of five games without a win in League Two with a 3-0 victory of bottom-of-the-table Oldham Athletic.
It’s looking worse for Scunthorpe and Oldham down there in the relegation places as Colchester United managed an impressive 3-0 win away to Salford City. The U’s are now six points clear of 3r-d place Scunthorpe.
