According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are set to announce the signing of Adama Traore on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Adama Traore had been rumoured to be close to joining Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur but reportedly rejected that move due to being unwilling to play as a wing-back as Conte had planned on using him as.
The Spain international was born in Catalonia and came through La Masia and did play for Barcelona before departing to Aston Villa in 2015. After a season at Villa, he moved to Middlesbrough and then onto Wolves in 2018.
The deal is expected to be a loan with a non-mandatory option to buy for 30 million euros with bonuses. Barca are expected to be his salary in full.
The future of Ousmane Dembele remains in doubt with Barcelona trying to force out their once-£100 million plus signing due to disagreements over his expiring contract. The signing of another wide player will only cause more uncertainty.
