According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Paulo Dybala will join Juventus’ fierce arch-rivals Inter Milan on a free transfer this summer when his contract with The Old Lady expires on June 30.
The Argentine international has been in a contract dispute with Massimiliano Allegri’s side for over a year now and it finally looks like their number ten has made his mind up about the future.
Dybala began his career at Instituto in Argentina, playing one season in the Primera B Nacional, scoring 17 goals in 38 games from attacking midfield.
He moved to Serie A in 2012, joining Palermo. La Aquile were relegated in his first season but he helped them gain promotion in 2014 before scoring 13 goals in 34 games in Serie A, at the age of just 21. That summer saw him move to Juventus for a fee of 32 million euros with eight in add-ons.
At Juve, he has won five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia, three Supercoppa Italiana and helped them reach the UEFA Champions League final in the 2016/17 campaign.
‘La Joya’ has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the Argentine national team. A myriad of factors have played a role in that, from a failure to adapt to playing with Messi, congestion of players in similar positions to himself or just underperformed from the side as a whole.
Dybala will turn 29 in November and is reportedly set to join the current reigning champions and title challenging Inter Milan, under the management of Simone Inzaghi, to play alongside compatriot Lautaro Martinez, should he stay, in the Nerazzuri front-line.
