Following the confirmation of Manchester City agreeing on a fee with Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland, the German club have announced the Norwegian’s replacement, Karim Adeyemi.
Like Haaland, Adeyemi arrives at Borussia Dortmund from the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.
The German striker has signed a five-year deal at BVB in a move believed to be worth around £33million. According to reports, Manchester United had been interested in the player but a move to Germany was always his preferred destination.
Adeyemi arrived at Salzburg from Bavarian team SpVgg Unterhaching following a stint in the youth teams of Bayern Munich.
This season, the striker has scored 23 goals in 43 games for Salzburg and made his debut for the German national team back in September.
