A second-half goal from striker Karol Swiderski gave Poland a 1-0 win over Wales in Cardiff and sent Robert Page's to League B of Nations League
The Red Dragons knew that only a win would do for them prior to the match if they wanted to avoid dropping down to League B, with the Polish side three points above them.
The hosts were in control of the game but failed to create clear chances and were in fact the visitors who were more dangerous throughout the game.
In the second-half, Robert Lewandowski found himself on the edge of the box and played a one-touch cross to Karol Swiderski, who struck into the bottom right corner, giving the lead to Poland.
The Welsh side were unable to find the equaliser they needed, despite going close on a couple of occasions with Gareth Bale striking the bar in stoppage-time.
Poland finished third on seven points and remain in the competition's top tier, while fourth-placed Wales, on one point will be relegated to League B.
