Leeds United managed to hang on for a 0-0 draw at home to Aston Villa at Elland Road despite playing much of the second half with only 10 men after Luis Sinisterra was shown two yellow cards.
In a very intense first half, both teams fought a lot but the quality was poor as they struggled to creat any clear cut chances.
However, the game changed completely in the second half when Luis Sinisterra was shown a second yellow card in the 47th minute for needlessly blocking a Douglas Luiz free-kick without giving him 10 yards of space.
Shortly afterwards Philippe Coutinho had the best chance of the game as he hit the far post with a spectacular volley, and Ollie Watkins headed the rebound just wide
Steven Gerrard's men pressed to take the lead but lacked the quality to punish the home side's indiscipline and the game finished in a draw.
The result sees Jesse Marsch's men move up into 12th, while Villa remain on eight points in 14th.
Next up, Leeds travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday before Aston Villa head to Nottingham Forest.
