Steve Cooper confirmed during this morning's press conference that Chris Wood will be out for the remainder of the season.
The 31-year-old striker is out for the season due to a thigh injury sustained in a defeat to Tottenham earlier this month. Despite participating in some training sessions while on international duty with New Zealand, the striker was unable to play in their two friendlies against China.
Wood joined Nottingham Forest on loan from Newcastle United in January, with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, which has now been triggered and is expected to be worth around £16 million.
Since his move from Newcastle in January, Wood has made seven Premier League appearances, scoring once to equalize in a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.
Steve Cooper has confirmed that Chris Wood will miss the remainder of the season through injury.
