Man City set to prepare Cancelo-Kimmich swap deal to Bayern Munich

Manchester City are reportedly planning a strategic move in the summer transfer window as they aim to secure the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich as City is considering offering full-back João Cancelo to the Bavarians in a potential swap deal.

The surprising loan move of João Cancelo to Bayern Munich in January raised many eyebrows. Having fallen down the pecking order under the guidance of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, the Portugal international was seeking regular playing time elsewhere.

Initially, he struggled to find his footing under Julian Nagelsmann, but following his sacking, Cancelo has managed to cement his place in the starting lineup under Thomas Tuchel.
