According to 90min, several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Leicester City, are closely monitoring the progress of Hayden Hackney.
Hackney recently signed a new long-term contract with Middlesbrough in December, reflecting his impressive development.
However, despite his contract extension, there is a possibility of another contract being offered to him due to his significant progress.
Middlesbrough's failure to secure promotion to the Premier League, following their defeat in the two-legged play-off semi-final against Coventry, means that they may consider selling Hackney if a substantial offer comes their way.
The 20-year-old, who emerged from Middlesbrough's academy system, gradually climbed through the ranks, including a productive season-long loan spell at Scunthorpe United. He eventually made his breakthrough into the first team last summer.
Although Hackney still has three years remaining on his contract in the north-east, Middlesbrough might be compelled to cash in on some of their prized assets if significant offers are presented during the upcoming transfer window.
