Tottenham Hotspur is close to hiring Ange Postecoglou, the current manager of Celtic, as their new head coach.
According to reports, Postecoglou is in the leading position to replace Antonio Conte and a deal is expected to be finalized soon.
The 57-year-old manager has had a highly successful tenure with Celtic since his appointment in 2021.
Recently, his team achieved a historic Treble victory by winning the Scottish Cup final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle with a score of 3-1 at Hampden.
Following this achievement, Daniel Levy is planning to have discussions with the Australian manager.
Tottenham Hotspur, who finished eighth in the Premier League and will not be competing in European football next season, has been searching for a candidate who can bring about a cultural change and rejuvenate the team's style of play.
Antonio Conte left Tottenham by mutual consent in March following a 3-3 draw against Southampton. His assistant, Stellini, briefly took over as acting head coach but departed less than a month later after a 3-2 home defeat to relegation-threatened Bournemouth and a 6-1 loss against Newcastle United, who were competing for a top-four position.
Ryan Mason assumed the role of caretaker coach until the end of the season but only managed to secure two victories out of six matches. As a result, the club was unable to secure a place in European competition.
