Brendan Rodgers is the favourite to take charge of Celtic should Ange Postecoglou’s move to Tottenham Hotspur be confirmed.
The Australian coach looks like he is set to make the move down to North London to take over at Spurs after a hugely-successful stint with Celtic.
Postecoglou’s departure could then open up a return for Brendan Rodgers. The former Leicester City manager spent two-and-a-half seasons in charge of the Glasgow club.
During his first season in charge, Celtic remained undefeated domestically and lifted a treble. While they didn’t remain undefeated in his second season they still managed a treble all the same.
While Rodgers may be the bookies’ favourite for the role there are other managers who could take over. Manchester City assistant Enzo Maresca is considered the second favourite ahead of other candidates including Graham Potter, David Moyes, Steve Clarke, and Scott Brown.
Current Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy is also a possibility for the role should he not follow Postecoglou down to London.
