Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager.
The former Celtic boss, who enjoyed great success in Glasgow including winning a domestic treble this season, joins the club on a four-year deal.
“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play,” Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said about the appointment.
“He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club. We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”
Postecoglou joined Celtic from Yokohama F. Marinos in 2021 having previously won the J-League in 2019. He was also in charge of the Australian national team from 2013 to 2017 where he won the Asian Cup in 2015.
The 57-year-old will have work to do over the summer following a disappointing season in which Spurs finished eighth in the Premier League – outside of the European places.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as our new Head Coach on a four-year contract 🤍
