Arsenal come up short despite victory

Manchester City's victory rendered Arsenal's result irrelevant, but the Gunners did what they had to do and put Everton to the sword at the Emirates - even if they left it late!

As expected, the north Londoners dominated from the off, but it was Sean Dyche's Toffees who took the lead in the 40th minute when Idrissa Gueye's free-kick was deflected past David Raya.

Arsenal have shown character and resilience throughout this season's title race and they were quickly back on level terms when defender Takehiro Tomiyasu slotted home a low finish from 12 yards out.

After the break, with City in control against West Ham, the atmosphere at the Emirates never really got going and it appeared that the Gunners would have to settle for a point until Kai Havertz popped up with their matchwinner in the 90th minute.

Arsenal's 89-point haul saw them finish two points shy of Pep Guardiola's champions...but the Gunners' comeback win illustrated their progress since they finished runners-up last season.

As an Arsenal fan, it's disappointing to see our result become irrelevant due to Manchester City's victory. But, we did our job and secured the win against Everton, although it was a bit nerve-wracking waiting for that late goal. Our team has shown resilience and determination throughout the entire title race, and our final points tally of 89 is nothing to be ashamed of. Congrats to City, but we'll come back stronger next season!

As a Manchester City fan, I have to admit that our victory over West Ham made Arsenal's win over Everton irrelevant in terms of the title race. But I have to give credit where credit is due, and Arsenal did what they had to do in order to secure the three points. It's always tough to play against a team fighting for survival, and even though they left it late, they showed character and determination to come back from behind and secure the win. Congratulations to them on their
