Barcelona and Inter share spoils in six-goal thriller

Barcelona twice came from behind to earn a dramatic 3-3 draw against Inter Milan in a cracking first leg at the Estadi Olímpic.

Inter got off to a flying start, with Marcus Thuram scoring after just 50 seconds – the fastest goal ever in a Champions League semi - thanks to a cheeky flick after a sharp cross from Denzel Dumfries.

The visitors made it 2-0 in the 21st minute, with Dumfries getting on the scoresheet himself, smashing in a stunning volley from a corner.

But that’s when 17-year-old Lamine Yamal took centre stage. The teenager pulled one back for Barça with a brilliant finish after darting in from the right, just three minutes after Inter’s second.

He almost got another not long after, cracking the bar, before Ferran Torres made it 2-2 with a tidy first-time strike in the 38th minute.

The hosts looked in control, but Inter hit them again midway through the second half – Dumfries bagging his second with a bullet header from another corner.

Just when it looked like Inter might take the win, Raphinha unleashed a rocket from distance that rattled the post and went in off the back of Yann Sommer to level it up again.

So, it’s all square heading into next Tuesday’s second leg at San Siro – with a place in the Munich final up for grabs against either Arsenal or PSG.
