Chelsea have wrapped up the signing of winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £48.5 million, with an extra £3.5 million potentially coming in add-ons.
Dortmund confirmed the agreement was finalised in Florida on Thursday evening.
The 20-year-old, who moved to Dortmund from Manchester City back in 2020, has put pen to paper on a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Gittens, who plays for England’s Under-21s, chipped in with 12 goals and five assists across 48 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund last season.
In total, he notched up 17 goals and 14 assists in 107 matches for the Bundesliga side.
Chelsea have already been busy this summer, bringing in Ipswich striker Liam Delap, Brighton forward Joao Pedro, Sporting midfielder Dario Essugo and Strasbourg defender Mamadou Sarr.
