      Chelsea & Pochettino part ways

Chelsea have confirmed that they have parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino with the official version of events being described as ‘mutual consent’.

It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano among others that the club, ran by Todd Boehly, will seek a younger manager for the long-term with Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna reportedly among those being considered already.

Pochettino had guided Chelsea to sixth in the Premier League table, likely qualifying them for the UEFA Europa League so long as Manchester United do not win the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

The next manager will become the sixth person to take charge of Chelsea’s first-team duties since Boehly, BlueCo and Clearlake Capital purchased the club back in the summer of 2022.

In that time, Chelsea have spent well over £1 billion in transfer fees and have managed to create a squad that does not make any sense from a footballing perspective.

It is therefore quite surprising that after dealing with a very difficult situation, that included a plethora of injuries to key men throughout the campaign as well, that Pochettino, after seemingly finding a bit of cohesion at the end of the season ahead of the summer and next year, has been let go.

As a football fan, I am disappointed to see Pochettino leave Chelsea. He did a decent job with the team and I was looking forward to seeing what he could do with some new signings. But if the club wants a younger manager, I hope they make a wise choice and give them the support they need. It's frustrating to see Chelsea constantly changing managers and not achieving much success. I hope they can find some stability and start making smarter decisions in the future.

As a football fan, I'm disappointed to see Pochettino go from Chelsea. Mutual consent Sounds like there's more to the story. Hopefully the new manager can bring some much needed stability to the club.

As a football fan, I'm disappointed to hear about Pochettino leaving Chelsea. Mutual consent Yeah right. Guess Todd Boehly wants a younger manager for long-term success. Hope McKenna can handle the pressure. And let's not forget Chelsea's spending spree, yet still can't make a cohesive team.
