Chicago Fire are interested in signing Kevin De Bruyne when the playmaker leaves Manchester City at the end of the season.
De Bruyne announced his departure from City earlier this month in a statement addressed to fans after a trophy-laden stint.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in recent seasons but his destination could be the USA instead according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Chicago Fire have apparently approached De Bruyne but the player is yet to make a final decision on which club he will join.
The Fire are currently ninth in the MLS Eastern Conference and are currently managed by former USA boss Gregg Berhalter.
