Darwin Núñez netted a hat-trick as Uruguay eased past Mexico in their final Copa America warm-up match in Denver, Colorado.

The Liverpool forward opened the scoring just seven minutes in, finding the net on his second attempt amid a crowded penalty area.

Facundo Pellistri doubled Uruguay’s lead, and Núñez secured the win with two more goals.

Núñez's second goal was a straightforward finish into an empty net, but it followed an impressive drive through midfield and a precise one-two with Maximiliano Araujo.

His third goal was even simpler, tapping into an empty net at the back post.

Uruguay are set to start their Copa America campaign on June 24 and are grouped with Panama, Bolivia, and the USA.
