We have less than a month left of the ‘run-in’ in the EFL with the Championship, League One and League Two all reaching dramatic conclusions with everything still to play for.

This is a look ahead to one of the standout games from each three divisions up and down the EFL with a shoutout to the matches to keep an eye on as we head into the final few matches of the campaign.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Norwich City vs Ipswich Town | 12.30pm on Saturday

It is the ‘Old Farm Derby’ at Saturday lunchtime as playoff chasing Norwich City welcome automatic promotion challenging Ipswich Town to Carrow Road this weekend. The Canaries took the lead at the King Power Stadium against Leicester City on Easter Monday before falling to a 3-1 defeat but David Wagner’s Norfolk club remain tucked inside the top six, albeit the likes of Coventry and Preston are closing. Ipswich head into match day 41 of the Championship season sitting at the top-of-the-table after finishing second in League One last season. The Tractor Boys pulled off a stunning 3-2 defeat of Southampton last weekend with Jeremy Sarmiento scoring a second-half stoppage-time winner in that game. So much rides on a game with so much story to go with it.

LEAGUE ONE

Charlton Athletic vs Barnsley | 3pm on Saturday

Since the appointment of former Luton Town and Southampton boss Nathan Jones, Charlton Athletic have been much-improved as they try and propel themselves away from the bottom four and the relegation places. The Addicks come into this one on the back of a goalless draw at home to Stevenage on Easter Monday. They now face a Barnsley side that just about remain in automatic promotion race with just six games of the season to go. The Tykes come into this one on the back of coming from behind to defeat Burton Albion by three goals to one at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday with a second-half brace from John McAtee as well as a goal from Luca Connell.

LEAGUE TWO

Colchester United vs Wrexham | 3pm on Saturday

Down at the bottom end of League Two, Danny Cowley’s Colchester United remain in the bottom two and the relegation places but performances have begun to turnaround with the Essex club and, with games in hand, there will be a confidence they can avoid sliding into non-league football. They have suffered just one defeat in their last seven matches but five of those have been draw. They now face a Wrexham side that, under the management of former Bolton and Bradford manager Phil Parkinson, are aiming to complete back-to-back promotions. They are tucked inside the top three and the automatic promotion spots but did suffer another frustrating loss in midweek, losing 1-0 to Doncaster Rovers.
