    Enzo Maresca confirmed as Chelsea's new manager

    Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Enzo Maresca as their new head coach.

    The Italian has agreed to a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option for a sixth year.

    The 44-year-old manager replaces Mauricio Pochettino, who departed by mutual consent on 21 May after only one season in charge.

    This appointment marks Maresca as the sixth manager under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital since their takeover in 2022.

    Maresca was appointed at Leicester City last summer and successfully led them to the Championship title and secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.

    As a football fan, I'm disappointed to see yet another new manager at Chelsea. It seems like there's no stability or long-term planning at the club. However, I hope Maresca can prove himself and lead us to success in the next five years.

    Wow, big shoes to fill after Pochettino's departure, but excited to see what Enzo Maresca brings to the table as the new head coach for Chelsea! Hoping for a successful 5 (or maybe even 6!) years for the club!
