Hojlund strikes late to earn point against ten-men Cherries

Rasmus Hojlund scored late to earn Manchester United a point away to Bournemouth after Evanilson was sent off.

The home side took the lead in the 23rd minute when the Cherries' high press proved effective with Antoine Semenyo providing the finishing touch. United will have felt aggrieved with the goal considering it came just after Tyler Adams escaped a potential red card challenge.

However, Andoni Iraola's side couldn't avoid a red card later in the game when Evanilson was sent over for a studs-up tackle on Noussair Mazraoui. The Brazilian slipped as he went in the tackle but that didn't prevent him from being given his marching orders.

From that point on it was United pushing for an equaliser and their late pressure eventually told late into stoppage time when Hojlund got onto the end of an effort to make it 1-1.

That result means United remain 14th while Bournemouth stay in 10th place and miss the chance to jump ahead of Fulham.
