After speculation over his future, Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is now expected to stay in his role and sign a new contract with the club.

The Tractor Boys have gone from League One to the Premier League in back-to-back promotions under the promising young manager over the last two seasons.

Those achievements meant that McKenna was linked with the top job at Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, and Manchester United in recent weeks.

However now it seems that the 38-year-old is to stay at Ipswich Town for their return to the Premier League signing a new deal in the process.

The reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic has stated that McKenna is now expected to sign a new long-term deal at the club.

Chelsea are now expected to hire Enzo Maresca while Brighton may reunite with Graham Potter with Erik ten Hag's future at Old Trafford suddenly looking less gloomy.

Back-to-back promotions to the Premier League is no easy feat, and he's shown great promise as a young manager. The speculation was nerve-wracking, but I'm glad he's sticking around.
