        Liverpool confirm departure of goalkeeper Adrian

        Liverpool have announced that goalkeeper Adrian will be leaving the club after his contract expired this summer.

        Despite being offered an extension, the Spanish shot-stopper has chosen to seek a new challenge after five years at Anfield.

        The 37-year-old is expected to return to his former team, Real Betis.

        Adrian was well-liked in the locker room, providing experienced backup for Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher.
