Man Utd linked with goalkeeper John Victor

Manchester United have been linked with Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor according to reports from Brazil.

The 29-year-old has impressed for his side during the Club Word Cup with Botafogo suffering elimination in the Round of 16 after a 1-0 extra-time defeat to fellow Brazilian side Palmeiras.

According to GOAL, United are keen to sign John Victor with his low release clause seen as a plus. The shot-stopper could be available for around £6 million.

The uncapped Brazilian would not be seen as a replacement to André Onana but more likely to take Altay Bay?nd?r's role in the team with Tom Heaton remaining third choice for another season.

United have so far only signed Matheus Cunha in the summer window although they have been strongly linked with a move for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.
