Nottingham Forest signs Igor Jesus from Botafogo

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the arrival of Brazilian forward Igor Jesus from Botafogo.

The 24-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Premier League club, with the deal reportedly worth around £10 million.

Jesus started out at Coritiba in Brazil before heading to the UAE, where he had a productive spell at Shabab Al Ahli, scoring 43 goals and providing 20 assists across 88 games.

He returned to Brazil in mid-2024, joining Botafogo and playing a key part in their double-winning season, as the club claimed both the Brazilian league title and the Copa Libertadores.

Since making the switch back from the UAE, Jesus racked up 59 appearances for Botafogo, finding the net 17 times. In the current 2025 season, he’s scored nine goals and added an assist in 29 outings. That includes two goals in four Club World Cup matches, helping Botafogo reach the last 16.

On the international front, Jesus made an impressive start to his Brazil senior career, scoring on his debut against Chile in October 2024 and assisting in the following match against Peru.
