After a week or so of speculation, Oliver Glasner has now been confirmed as the new Crystal Palace manager.

The 49-year-old Austrian has signed a two-year deal with the south London club, keeping him contracted to The Eagles until the summer of 2026.

It is believed that Glasner will be in the stands for tonight’s Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park, with Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington in the dugout.

Glasner will be at the match and is set to take charge of his first training session as Crystal Palace manager on Tuesday with the side very much involved in the relegation battle.

Glasner began his coaching career in 2014 with Ried and spent a season there before moving on to LASK in 2015 and spending four seasons in Linz. After two years with Wolfsburg, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021 and went on to win the UEFA Europa League in 2022 before reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League in 2023.

If all goes according to plan then Glasner’s first game in charge of Palace will be against fellow strugglers Burnley at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
