Notts County's return to the EFL after a four-year absence has been many things, but boring is not one of them.

Currently the second top scorers in League Two with 83 goals, the Magpies also have the less illustrious privilege of possessing the worst defensive record (79 goals conceded) in the fourth tier.

It's been a real rollercoaster ride for a team, which has scored a remarkable 200 goals over the past two seasons - their hopes of featuring in L2's promotion picture this term undoubtedly influenced by their former manager Luke Williams departing for Swansea in January.

Although Williams' replacement Stuart Maynard and the Magpies will no doubt be perplexed by a league position of 15th, their attacking line-up of Langstaff, McGoldrick, Jones and Crowley has been right up there with the best in the division and the latter's fine performances this season have bagged him 51st place in Playmaker's '72'.

One of only three players in League Two to reach double figures for goals AND assists this season, Crowley (14 goals and 10 assists) has been a pivotal figure since joining the Magpies from Morecambe in the summer and the former Arsenal academy graduate has a host of other impressive statistics.

Ranking third for key passes (87) and fifth for successful dribbles (58) in League Two, the 26-year-old has provided plenty of creative spark along with an ability to finish with quality himself - Crowley scoring more goals from open-play (13) than any other midfielder in the league this season.

Crowley has followed in the playmaking footsteps of recent Notts County creators such as Jorge Grant and Ruben Rodrigues, and risen to the challenge - only MK Dons Dan Kemp (17G, 10A) more productive from midfield in League Two this season

Although the oldest Football League club's return to the EFL hasn't quite gone to plan, Crowley has played a big part in making it, at the very least, entertaining.

As a football fan, I am so excited for the next batch of standouts in the 'Playmaker 72'! It's always a tough decision to rank players from different divisions, but I can't wait to see who makes the cut.
