Portsmouth have picked up 53 points and currently lie in 16th position - John Mousinho's team drawing 1-1 against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.
Hull, meanwhile, are on the brink in 22nd position. In their last fixture, Rubén Sellés' team suffered a 0-1 reverse against fellow strugglers Derby County to pile the pressure on this clash on the south coast.
The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw.

Freddie Webb (Pompey News Now): There will be a party atmosphere at Fratton Park as Pompey celebrate the end of their first season back in the Championship since 2012 - though Hull City supporters will be going through different emotions.
Last week’s final away performance against Sheffield Wednesday was dogged and determined, but performance levels understandably dropped off after survival. Taking a point away at Hillsborough despite having two shots the entire game and spending large parts of the match in their own penalty area is a testament to the squad.
Players given few chances this season stepped up, with youngster Harvey Blair and third-choice keeper Ben Killip taking the plaudits. Even though the overall performance was frustrating - losing the midfield battle and constantly misplacing outlet passes - they came away with credit in the bank.
If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t want to predict this match against Hull City. The Tigers have struggled creatively, only scoring one goal from open play since the international break.
Losing key matches against Derby County and Luton Town has dropped their morale to the floor, with Ruben Selles struggling to use a settled team with a consistent tactical ethos. Even with all those factors, Tigers players should have that extra commitment of fighting for their last chance to stay in the Championship.
Former Fratton Park favourite Abu Kamara will be hoping to do the business in a troubled season. I expect the match to be back and forth and packed with unpredictability.

For the first time under the management of Rubén Sellés, our fight for survival is out of our hands. Or is it?
In the bottom three with a game to spare usually gives a team a mountain to climb. However, because the way the fixtures have fallen, it is still just about in our hands.
Derby and Stoke cannot both win, the most Michael Owen-style assessment of a game I will ever do, meaning a win at Fratton Park keeps us in the Championship.
We haven't won on the final day of the season since 2016. Last season, we went down south on the final day needing a win and just didn't turn up against Plymouth. So, I'm not hopeful.
Despite that, I do still think we will be Championship side when August comes around. I'll settle for a 0-0 or a 1-1, then have everything crossed that Preston lose away to Bristol City or West Brom beat Luton at The Hawthorns and we stay up on goal difference.
In a way, that way of staying up is fitting for the state of my football club at the moment. Just scraping by.
Whether we stay up or go down, we're in a mess regardless. If we stay up, the same mistakes will no doubt get repeated - I mean that in terms of high wages and signing players from abroad who can't cut it at this level. Then if we are in League One again, we'll lose even more money and have to sell the whole squad to plug the funding gap.
I'm not sure what I'd prefer, but a good performance down in Pompey would be nice.
