Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has sustained a muscle injury that is anticipated to sideline him for a period of two to three weeks.

The 21-year-old Dane will be absent for the upcoming home league clash against Fulham on Saturday and the FA Cup fifth-round encounter against Nottingham Forest next Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag's team faces a challenging schedule in the next two weeks, including matches against derby rivals Manchester City and a home fixture against Everton.

Hojlund has been United's standout performer since the start of the New Year - the Danish forward made history in the Premier League era by becoming the youngest player to score in six consecutive games.

His remarkable form has contributed to Manchester United's recent success, securing four consecutive league victories, a feat they hadn't achieved earlier in the season. As a result, they find themselves within three points of fifth-placed Tottenham and five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the league standings.

As a football fan, it's disappointing to hear that Hojlund will be out for a few weeks due to injury. He's been a key player for United recently and his absence will definitely be felt in the upcoming matches against Fulham, Forest, City, and Everton. Wishing him a speedy recovery and hoping United can maintain their winning streak without him.
