Antonio Rüdiger has been handed a six-match ban for throwing an ice pack towards referee De Burgos Bengoetxea—though it didn’t hit him.
The German defender has since apologised for the incident. He also underwent surgery on his left knee on Tuesday and is expected to be out for around two months.
Lucas Vázquez, who was also sent off for protesting to the referee, has received a two-match suspension.
Jude Jude Bellingham, despite being named in the officials’ report, hasn’t been punished.
