Blackburn Rovers saw their unbeaten home record come to an end with a 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United.
Harrison Burrows and Tyrese Campbell each scored to give the Blades a well-earned victory at Ewood Park.
Burrows opened the scoring before half-time with his first goal for the club, while Campbell doubled the lead with a close-range finish in the 64th minute, moving the visitors up to second place ahead of the 3pm fixtures.
The Blades showcased a strong performance, securing their ninth clean sheet in 13 league games against a struggling Blackburn side.
Rovers, who have now lost four of their last six games after a bright start, have also failed to score in their past three matches.
