The players to earn Three Lions debuts under coach

      Southgate's 66

When Gareth Southgate took over as England's manager on the back of the Three Lions' disappointing showing at Euro 2016 his primary task was to steady the ship - and he most certainly has done, while also forging a bold reputation for blooding young players in the national team.

Stepping up from the U21 squad gave Southgate a clear idea of the talent coming through England's youth ranks and nowadays there is a clear pathway to the senior team.

Southgate appears to have remained true to type ahead of Euro 2024, with the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Adam Wharton and Anthony Gordon all likely to make the cut for England's final 26-man squad for the tournament in Germany.

In total, Southgate has given 66 players their first cap since taking over as manager - Wharton and Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite both making their international debuts in a 3-0 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina on Monday.

This article takes a comprehensive look at all the players to don the England jersey for the first time under Southgate, and we've also included links to the games in question for those who are curious.

      Let's go!
