Gareth Southgate named his provisional England training squad ahead of EURO 2024 with some big calls from the manager.
Jordan Henderson, Kalvin Phillips, Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, Dominic Solanke, and Marcus Rashford are among the big-name absentees.
Ajax's Henderson's name is a surprise omission given the midfielder is one of the senior figures in the squad while Phillips, a regular under Southgate, has not managed to recapture his previous form at club level.
Chilwell's exclusion comes despite questions over the fitness of Luke Shaw, who has not played since February.
Dominic Solanke enjoyed a fine goalscoring season for Bournemouth this campaign scoring 19 goals in 38 games but is not included.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling has still yet to play an England game since the 2022 World Cup and Marcus Rashford's poor form this campaign has cost him a place in the squad.

Jack Grealish keeps his place in the team despite having a campaign interrupted by injuries while Ivan Toney's recent goal drought has not stopped him from being included.
Following the England training camp, Southgate will reduce his squad to his final 26 for the European Championships with friendly games against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland to come before the Three Lions begin their tournament against Serbia on June 16th in Gelsenkirchen.
