        Tottenham confirm Tanguy Ndombele departure

        2024/06/12 15:01

Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has left Tottenham by mutual consent.

Ndombele joined Spurs in 2019 from Lyon for a then club-record fee of £55 million.

Despite his promising start, the France international did not meet expectations and leaves Tottenham after just 91 appearances, with his last game for the club in 2022.

Struggling to adapt at Tottenham, he scored ten goals and provided nine assists in his two-and-a-half seasons there.

Ndombele returned to Lyon for the latter part of the 2021-22 season, then spent the next season on loan at Napoli and this current season at Galatasaray.

Disappointing to see Ndombele leave Spurs after a promising start. Never quite lived up to his potential.

As a football fan, I am disappointed to see Ndombele leave Tottenham. He had so much potential when he joined and it's a shame that he couldn't live up to expectations. However, I understand the decision for a mutual consent departure and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

As a football fan, I've been disappointed with Ndombele's performance at Tottenham. It's a shame to see him leave after just 91 appearances and not meeting expectations. Hopefully he can find his form at another club.
