Newcastle full-back Kieran Trippier has reportedly been subject to offers from a number of Turkish clubs, including Istanbul Basaksehir.

According to Sky Sports, Basaksehir want to sign the defender on a loan with an option to buy - but will have to convince the Magpies and Trippier regarding the move.

Newcastle are believed to want to keep hold of Trippier, even though the former England international has slipped down the pecking order behind Tino Livramento at St James' Park this season.

Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupsor have also submitted offers to Newcastle, according to Sky, all the bids focused on initial loan deals.

As a Newcastle fan, I am not surprised that there are offers for Trippier from Turkish clubs. He's a quality player, but it's a shame he hasn't been getting much game time at our club. I hope we can hold on to him, but if he does go, I hope it's a good move for him.

seeing Trippier potentially leave Newcastle for a Turkish club is disappointing. He is a solid player and has been a key part of our team, so it would be a shame to see him go. However, if the club believes it is necessary for him to leave, hopefully they can make a deal that benefits both parties.

I don't understand why Newcastle would want to keep hold of Trippier when he's not even getting enough playing time. It's clear that he's not a key player for them anymore, so why not let him go to a club where he can actually contribute Plus, a loan with an option to buy is a win-win situation for both parties. Come on, Newcastle, make the right decision!
