Valadares Gaia move on to the next round of Portuguese Cup 

Valadares Gaia defeated Sousense, 2x0, on Sunday, in a match relating of Portuguese Cup. Both Vila Nova de Gaia's team and Gondomar's team held their first game in the competition.

The opening goal was scored by Ricardinho after 41 minutes.

Vítor Lobo netted the last goal in the 80th minute. After 81 minutes, Sousense saw Chico get sent off due to accumulation of yellows. In the closing stages of the game, Rui Soares left the game early after seeing a red card.

With this result, Valadares Gaia are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vila Nova de Gaia's team visit Barreirense. Meanwhile, Sousense will play away against RD Águeda.
