Newcastle edged past AFC Bournemouth

Newcastle triumphed over AFC Bournemouth in a close win on Saturday, 2x1, in a game relating to mathweek 12. In this competition, Rafael Benítez's team came from a win, and Eddie Howe's team came from a defeat. Salomón Rondón was the main player.

The opening goal was scored by Salomón Rondón in the 7th minute, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty area. With 40 minutes on the clock, Newcastle increased their lead with a goal from forward through a header inside the penalty box.  Jefferson Lerma netted the last goal after 45 minutes from a corner.
