Benfica defeated Rio Ave by 2x3

Benfica triumphed over Rio Ave, 2x3, on Sunday, relating to matchweek 33 of Liga Portuguesa. To this matchday, Daniel Ramos's team came from a win, and Bruno Lage's team came from four wins.

The opening goal was scored by Rafa Silva early in the game, with a left-foot shot inside the penalty box. Rafa Silva is on a scoring streak of 3 consecutive games scoring. With 45 minutes already played, Benfica increased their lead with a goal from João Félix with a left-foot strike inside the penalty area. 

After 50 minutes, Tarantini fired home for Rio Ave, with a left-foot shot, assisted by Nuno Santos. With 56 minutes on the clock, Pizzi doubled the lead for Lisboa's team, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box. It was his 15th goal of the season.  Ronan David netted the last goal in the 84th minute through a header inside the box.

After the result Benfica are 1st in the table, with 84 points, while Rio Ave sit 7th place, with 42 points. Next up, Lisboa's team will host Santa Clara, whilst Vila do Conde's team will play away against Vitória FC.
