Benin beat Morocco after a penalty shootout

Morocco and Benin drew 1x1 in a match on Friday, in a match relating to the Last 16 of African Cup of Nations.

The first half came to an end without goals.

The opening goal was scored by Moise Adilehou after 53 minutes, from a corner. Youssef En-Nesyri netted the last goal with 75 minutes on the clock with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area. In time added on, Hakim Ziyech had a golden chance to score but missed the penalty.

In the closing stages of the game, Benin saw Khaled Adénon get sent off due to accumulation of yellows. After 108 minutes, Sessi D´Almeida came on.
