Tigres triumphed over Alianza FC in a fantastic win on Thursday, 4x2, in a match relating to the Last 16 of L. Campeões CONCACAF. Wilson Gutiérrez's team beat Tuca Ferretti's team, 2x1, in the first leg of the tie. André-Pierre Gignac with a superb display.
The opening goal was scored by Enner Valencia in the 9th minute. After 17 minutes, André-Pierre Gignac strucked the second goal for Tigres, assisted by Luis Rodríguez. In the 23rd minute, André-Pierre Gignac struck for Monterrey's team, from the penalty spot. With 33 minutes on the clock, Juan Carlos Portillo struck for Alianza FC, assisted by Marvin Monterroza. In the 42nd minute, Juan Carlos Portillo fired home San Salvador's team's second goal, assisted by Mario Jacobo.
In the closing stages of the game, Nahuel Guzmán netted the final goal of the game, laid on by Eduardo Vargas.
With this result, Tigres are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Tuca Ferretti's team visit New York City FC.
