Elche defeat Valencia

Elche beat Valencia, 2x1, on Friday, in the match for the 7th round. Before this Matchday, Elche's team came from a win, and Valencia's team came from two defeats.

 Josán Fernández opened the score after 19 minutes, with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area. After 37 minutes, Fidel Chaves fired home Elche's second goal, with a left-foot strike from outside the box, laid on by Josán Fernández.

 Toni Lato netted the last goal in the 74th minute with a left-foot shot.

After the result Elche is 11th in the table, 10 points, while Valencia occupy 14th place, 7 points. In the next fixture, Jorge Almirón's team will play away against Real Betis, whilst Javi Gracia's team will host Getafe.
