Coritiba defeated by Bahia

Bahia triumphed over Coritiba, 1x2, on Monday, in a game relating to mathweek 21. Before this matchday, Curitiba (PR)'s team came from a draw, and Salvador (BA)'s team came from two wins.

Giovanni Augusto opened the score early in the game, with a right-foot strike. In the 36th minute, Élber fired home for Bahia, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty box, after a pass from Matheus Bahia.

Sub Zeca, after 65 minutes, changed the course of the game. Defender scored the winner with 72 minutes on the clock with a right-foot shot from outside the box.

After the result Bahia are 9th in the table, with 28 points, while Coritiba sit 18th place, with 20 points. In their next fixture, Mano Menezes's team will play away against Red Bull Bragantino. Meanwhile, Pachequinho's team visit Flamengo.
