Club Brugge defeated Genk, 3x2, on Saturday, in a match relating to the decisive game of the Belgium Supercup. Both Brugge's team and Genk's team held their first game in the competition.
Theo Bongonda opened the score after 44 minutes, with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area. With 45 minutes already played, Matej Mitrovic struck for Club Brugge, from a corner, laid on by Mats Rits.
In the 48th minute, Noa Lang scored the second goal for Brugge's team, from the penalty spot. With 50 minutes on the clock, Clinton Mata doubled the lead for Philippe Clément's team, with a right-foot shot. In stoppage time, Jere Uronen wrapped things up, with a left-foot strike.
With this result, Club Brugge win the competiton.
