Netherlands triumphed over Rep. of Ireland in a close win on Sunday, 1x2, in a match relating to the Grp.B of the Euro Qualifying. In the starting XI there was Gavin Bazunu, Shane Duffy, John Egan, Nathan Collins, Alan Browne, Josh Cullen, Jason Knight, James McClean, Chiedozie Ogbene, Adam Idah, Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Aké and Cody Gakpo.
The first goal was scored by Adam Idah early in the game, from the penalty spot. After 19 minutes, Cody Gakpo fired home for Netherlands, from the penalty spot.
Wout Weghorst netted the last goal with 56 minutes on the clock with a right-foot shot inside the penalty box.
In the next fixture, Netherlands will play at home against France, whilst Rep. of Ireland will host Greece.
