Mexico edged out Canada, 2x1, on Friday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the Gold Cup.
Shortly before the interval, Orbelín Pineda opened the scoring for Mexico, from the penalty spot.
After 57 minutes, Tajon Buchanan fired home for Canada, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box, assisted by Mark-Anthony Kaye. Maxime Crépeau kept his goal safe by saving the penalty with 66 minutes on the clock, taken by Carlos Salcedo. Héctor Herrera scored the winning goal in the 90th minute with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area.
