Leicester City are on the brink of completing a deal for Salzburg’s high-scoring striker Patson Daka, with the Zambian expected to sign a deal until 2026, pending medical checks.
Daka has been linked with clubs all across Europe after registering an eye-catching 51 goals in 59 Austrian Bundesliga games over the past two seasons, and now Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian reports a deal is close to completion.
The 22-year-old Zambian has shown incredible form in front of goal, but has continually suffered from injury issues, keeping his stock below the likes of former teammates Erling Haaland and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Leicester, though, appear to be happy to favour reward over risk, with Daka seen as a long-term replacement for 34-year-old Jamie Vardy.
