Euro ‘92 champions Denmark have made their fourth semi-final in the competition’s history, with goals from Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg sealing a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in Baku.
Delaney gave the Danes a simple fifth minute headed lead when left all-alone from a corner, and his side didn’t let up, dominating the first 45, with a Dolberg tap-in just before the break, directing in a sumptuous outside of the boot Joakim Maehle cross.
The Czech’s recovered quickly from their poor half though, cutting the deficit when Patrik Schick guided in a Vladimir Coufal cross four minutes after the break for his fifth goal of the tournament.
The comeback was short-lived though, with the Czech’s failing to land another shot on target following their goal, allowing Denmark to set up a last-four meeting with either Ukraine or England.
