Brentford have completed the transfer of Spanish international goalkeeper Alvaro Fernández from Sociedad Deportiva Huesca.
The 23-year-old has signed on a one-year loan deal, but the Premier League newboys have the option to make the move permanent at the end of this season.
Speaking about the capture of the highly-rated keeper, Brentford boss Thomas Frank said:
“Alvaro is a player with huge potential, and we are very pleased that he has come in to our squad and our goalkeeper unit. He will come here and compete every day with David Raya and Patrik Gunnarsson.
"This is a signing that make us stronger as a group and will help push us to a higher level.”
Brentford won their first-ever Premier League game last Friday and will now face Crystal Palace away on Sunday.
