Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic, MK Dons' Scott Twine and Forest Green's Kane Wilson were named Player Of The Season in their respective leagues at this evening's EFL Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.
With 41 goals scored, it was no surprise that Serbian Mitrovic was named Championship Player of the Season, beating his team-mate Harry Wilson and Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke to the award.
"It’s been an amazing season on a personal level," he explained. "As a striker, you try to score as many goals as you can. You always want to score more and more. There’s a few more games so let’s see.
"Since the new manager's come in, we've created our style of play and it’s perfectly suited for me and every player in our squad. He gets the best out of his players.
MK Dons' star Scott Twine claimed the League One Player of the Season, beating off competition from Rotherham United's Michael Smith and Sheffield Wednesday's Barry Bannan.
In League Two, Forest Green's Kane Wilson claimed the Player of the Season award over team-mate Matty Stevens and Newport County's Dom Telford.
